Mental Health

While I personally do not offer therapeutic support for Individuals, parents or professionals I do work with individuals and organisations that do specialise in offering therapeutic services in different ways.

These organisations have been thoroughly vetted by myself and, where appropriate trained by me also.

Counselling

Creative Minds - North Star Counselling CIC offers a variety of therapeutic services to help reduce the impact of mental health difficulties that individuals may be experiencing.  The services include one to one counselling, group therapy, creative workshops and holistic treatments such as Reiki and mindfulness and are available offline and online.

Creative Minds work with all ages, from 4 to adult, and all backgrounds while also covering a range of different issues, including, anxiety, low mood, depression, bullying, stress, trauma, abuse and much more.

Their counsellors work in a person centred way, meaning that the people they work with steer their sessions in the direction that they want to go in, and the focus is always on what the client wants to focus on.  Creative Minds work creatively and at the individual's pace, allowing people to express themselves in different ways as they understand the difficulties some people face when trying to express themselves verbally.

Their workshops and therapy groups also aim to be creative, educational, supportive and most importantly, fun, allowing like minded people to come together and feel supported.

I have personally trained the Counsellors used by Creative Minds and am confident that they will only seek to validate the authentic Autistic experience.

Family support

Kristy Forbes - Autism and Neurodiversity support specialist  runs the support program, 'inTune Families™'.

It's the first of it's kind, guiding families through 6 modules, delivered online, exploring autistic family life from an autistic perspective. inTune Families is 100% aligned with the neurodiversity paradigm and is 100% designed by Autistic people. Each of the 6 sessions is followed by a live Q&A hosted by Kristy Forbes and Kieran Rose.

The program takes families on a journey of rebuilding, restructuring and reconnecting with each other, in order to create a perfectly unconventional, joyous life for the extraordinary family.
